Hades II Cross-Saves: Supported Platforms
Hades II links Nintendo saves with Steam and Epic, but not every version. Check your exact platform pair before buying a second copy.

Which versions can share Hades II progress?
Supergiant confirms cross-saves between Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 and the Steam or Epic Games Store versions on PC or Mac. Its FAQ says cross-saves with other versions are unavailable. Do not assume that a PS5, Xbox or Microsoft Store copy belongs to that same transfer system.
Name the storefront as well as the device. 'I play on PC' is not specific enough to decide which instructions apply.
02 / Check the pair you actually want to use
Check the pair you actually want to use
Nintendo and Steam
Supported pairingUse the game's cross-save connection for your Steam account. A Nintendo copy alone is not proof of Steam ownership.
Nintendo and Epic Games Store
Supported pairingCheck that the linked Epic account is the one you intend to use, especially on a shared computer.
Switch and Switch 2
Compatible save dataSupergiant also documents Nintendo-to-Nintendo transfer. A console upgrade is a different setup task from linking a PC storefront.
Nintendo or Steam with PS5 or Xbox
Not in this cross-save systemDo not buy that pairing expecting your existing run history to appear through the Nintendo connection.
03 / Check these details before linking anything
Check these details before linking anything
- Identify your keeper saveWrite down its slot and a progress detail you recognise. Decide which copy contains the playthrough you want to continue before introducing another device.
- Check the signed-in accountsShared browsers can remember someone else's login. Read the account name during linking instead of treating a successful login as proof you chose correctly.
- Choose one device for the next sessionAvoid building two divergent playthroughs while you are still checking synchronisation. First establish that the intended save appears where you expect.
- Preserve the originalDo not delete the working copy just because a cloud icon appears elsewhere. Open the destination save and check its recognisable progress first.
04 / A cloud conflict is a choice, not a nuisance
A cloud conflict is a choice, not a nuisance
Supergiant's support guide uses Sync & Quit on Nintendo to send progress back to the connected version. If a conflict appears, stop and inspect which playthrough you are choosing. Clicking through rapidly is the wrong time-saving habit when one copy is valuable.
Our precaution is to compare the visible information against the keeper-save notes you made earlier. A date alone is not your goal: you want the progress you meant to preserve. If you cannot identify that copy confidently, pause the transfer and use official support.
06 / Our recommendation
Our recommendation
For a Nintendo and Steam or Epic pairing, verify a transfer before making the second device your normal place to play. For other pairings, evaluate the new copy as a separate experience. If your main concern is whether you need the original Hades first, that is covered in our separate newcomer guide rather than in this platform decision.
