Terms of service

1. Provider and agreement

These terms govern use of Oruvai, a service operated by Kerim Akgül, trading as Oruvai. By creating an account or accepting an invitation that requires acceptance, you enter into an agreement with the operator identified in the Legal notice.

Product descriptions and policies expressly referred to in these terms form part of the agreement. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

2. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 16 to create an independent account and use social features. You must be at least 18 to order Oruvai Pro unless Oruvai provides a separate lawful guardian process. You must provide accurate account information and be legally permitted to use the service in your location.

3. Your account

• Keep login credentials confidential and use reasonable account security
• Notify Oruvai promptly if you suspect unauthorised access
• Do not create accounts for deception, ban evasion or automated abuse
• You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account
• One person may not control excessive accounts in order to manipulate product or community signals

4. What Oruvai provides

The current Free plan includes email, Google and Discord sign-in, onboarding, a manual library and Steam library import, play state, Gaming DNA, catalogue discovery, ratings, up to 5 completed personal decisions and 1 hosted group decision per calendar month, and unlimited joining of invited private groups.

Oruvai Pro includes up to 100 completed personal decisions and 30 hosted group decisions per calendar month, personal fit checks before buying, subscription-aware choices, deeper Gaming DNA tools and the other paid functions shown in the current checkout. Friends invited by a Pro host do not need Pro to join and vote.

Features, supported platforms and catalogue coverage may differ by device, country and current availability. The current interface is authoritative; a code path by itself does not create a right to have a feature enabled.

5. Recommendations and Gaming DNA

Recommendations are personalised suggestions, not promises that a game will be enjoyable, available, technically compatible or suitable in every circumstance. Oruvai separates verified technical facts, structured game attributes and personal preference signals where possible.

You remain responsible for purchase and play decisions. You can correct profile signals, change context, remove feedback and ignore any result. Oruvai does not accept payment to secretly improve a game's recommendation rank.

6. Game data and availability

Catalogue information may come from licensors, public provider interfaces, game stores, publishers, community corrections and internal enrichment. Release dates, platforms, modes, crossplay, prices, subscription availability and news can change without notice.

Oruvai aims to show source, update time or confidence where it matters. An error can be reported through the available correction channel. No catalogue entry creates a promise that a third party will continue selling, supporting or providing a game.

7. Connected platforms

Steam library import is available and can use Steam account confirmation to retrieve owned games and playtime that the Steam account permits the API to disclose. Oruvai does not receive the Steam password.

Xbox, PlayStation and other providers remain manual unless an integration is expressly marked Available. The data and permissions displayed in an active connection screen apply together with the independent provider's terms.

8. Profiles, friends and groups

Oruvai creates the product profile with a random username and completely private social settings. You later decide separately for each offered area whether it becomes visible. The full library and private activity do not automatically become public. Publicly shared content can be viewed and copied by others, so do not publish sensitive information.

Group suggestions rely on participant information and available, sufficiently verified catalogue data. Participants should independently confirm purchase, age rating, voice-chat and technical requirements before playing.

9. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of text, images, ratings and other content you submit. You grant Oruvai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence limited to hosting, reproducing, formatting, transmitting and displaying that content as required to operate, secure and improve the feature you chose. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for technical backups, lawful retention and content already shared by others where deletion cannot reasonably recall it.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not violate law or the rights of others.

10. Prohibited use

• Illegal, fraudulent, threatening, hateful or sexually exploitative content
• Harassment, stalking, doxxing, impersonation or attempts to contact a blocked user
• Malware, credential theft, phishing, destructive links or security bypass attempts
• Account sales, stolen accounts, payment fraud or unauthorised key distribution
• Scraping, automated extraction or reverse engineering outside rights granted by mandatory law
• Manipulating ratings, recommendations, invitations, reports or availability signals
• Uploading content that infringes copyright, privacy, personality or trademark rights
• Using Oruvai to coordinate cheating, abuse or harm

11. Moderation and enforcement

Oruvai may investigate reports and take proportionate action including limiting visibility, removing content, restricting a feature, warning, suspending or terminating an account. Urgent action may be taken first where safety, law or service security requires it.

Where required, we provide a reason and a way to request review. Decisions consider context, severity, repetition, evidence and impact. Automated tools may assist detection but do not solely impose serious account sanctions in the current service.

12. External links, stores and affiliate relationships

Third-party stores, news sources and services are responsible for their own offers, content, payments and privacy. A labelled affiliate link may generate a commission for Oruvai. Commercial status does not guarantee the merchant, price or product and does not secretly determine recommendation rank.

13. Availability, maintenance and changes

Oruvai is developed continuously. Maintenance, provider outages, security events and product changes can temporarily affect availability. We do not promise uninterrupted access unless a paid plan expressly states a service level.

Material changes to a paid digital service will follow applicable consumer law. Updates required for security, compatibility and contractual conformity will be provided for the applicable period.

14. Paid plans

Oruvai Pro costs €4.99 per monthly billing period or €34.99 per yearly billing period. The selected plan renews for the same period until cancelled. Direct web subscriptions are processed through Stripe. The Subscription Terms and checkout summary state the price, billing period, renewal, included functions, usage limits, withdrawal information and cancellation route before the order is placed.

15. Ending the agreement

You can delete a free account through account controls. A machine-readable export of associated account, library, profile, social and support data is available first. Account deletion, subscription cancellation and withdrawal are separate actions. Cancel Oruvai Pro through the billing area or the public cancellation form before deleting the account.

Oruvai may terminate an account for serious or repeated breach, legal necessity, security risk or permanent discontinuation of the service. Where reasonable and lawful, notice and an opportunity to export supported data will be provided.

16. Conformity and consumer rights

Statutory rights for digital products, including rights relating to conformity, remedies and required updates, remain unaffected. General descriptions and known limitations define the agreed nature of the service only to the extent legally permitted.

17. Liability

Oruvai has unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, guarantees expressly given and liability required by product liability or other mandatory law.

For slight negligence, liability is limited to breach of an essential contractual duty and to the foreseeable damage typical for the agreement. Essential duties are those whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on which users normally rely. Further liability for slight negligence is excluded where legally permitted. These limits also apply to representatives and agents.

18. Changes to these terms

The accepted version is recorded with the account. Material changes will be communicated in advance in a clear form. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued rights. Where consent is legally required, continued use alone will not replace that consent.

19. Governing law and contact

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protection granted by the law of your habitual residence. Contact: [email protected].
