Gaming platform connections

1. Supported means available

A platform name on a roadmap or catalogue does not mean account connection is available. Only providers marked Available in the connection screen can be linked. Oruvai will not simulate an official login or request credentials for an unsupported platform.

2. Authorisation

Steam uses its official OpenID sign-in to confirm the SteamID64. Oruvai does not receive the Steam password and does not store a Steam access or refresh token. Other future providers may use OAuth or another official flow; their connection screen will identify the data and permissions before authorisation.

3. Imported Steam data

• SteamID64 used to identify the connected account
• Owned games returned by Steam
• Steam application identifiers and game titles
• Total playtime where returned
• Match status between a Steam game and the Oruvai catalogue
• Import, connection and synchronisation status

4. How imported data is used

• Populate and update your Oruvai library
• Avoid suggesting games you already own or completed where appropriate
• Check access and group compatibility
• Improve recommendation context and explain library status
• Detect outdated or conflicting library entries

5. Identity and security

The active Steam connection stores the confirmed Steam account identifier, not a Steam password or Steam access or refresh token. Provider credentials for future connections will be protected, access-restricted and documented before use.

6. Synchronisation and accuracy

Synchronisation frequency depends on provider limits, user action and plan. Provider data can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable because of privacy settings, outages or API restrictions. Manual corrections remain available where supported and are labelled separately from provider data.

7. Disconnecting and deleting

You can disconnect Steam from Oruvai. This stops future synchronisation. The available disconnect control lets you decide whether provider-derived access should be removed while imported games can remain as manually managed records where supported.

Account deletion removes the connection and associated active account data, subject to the narrow retention exceptions described in the Privacy policy.

8. Independent providers

Gaming platforms are independent services with their own availability, terms and privacy practices. Oruvai cannot restore a platform account, change its privacy settings or guarantee continued API access. Platform trademarks remain the property of their owners and do not imply endorsement.

9. Current integration status

Steam library import is active. It supports account confirmation, an import preview, explicit confirmation before applying provider data, manual resynchronisation and disconnection. The Windows library agent is not active. Xbox and PlayStation remain manual.
