1. Scope and current status
Oruvai supports social profiles and friendships. Signed-in users can report another profile for harassment, hate, sexual content, impersonation, spam, privacy or another reason and can block it at the same time.
The public support form is the authoritative route for general notices of illegal or rule-breaking content. It is available without an account, confirms accepted messages by email and issues a case ID. The in-app profile report is an additional rapid protection route, but does not itself display a case ID yet.
2. Submitting a report
Use the in-product Report action for a profile. People without an account and rights holders can use https://oruvai.com/support with the Legal topic or contact [email protected]. The support form acknowledges accepted messages electronically and issues a case ID.
- Exact URL and profile, group or content identifier
- A substantiated explanation of why the specific content is illegal or violates a rule
- Enough context and the affected jurisdiction
- Name and email where legally required; specific statutory exceptions for certain abuse material remain unaffected
- A good-faith statement and supporting material that can be lawfully shared
3. Notices of illegal content
A notice should explain why the identified information is considered illegal and precisely locate it. Oruvai will process sufficiently precise and substantiated notices in a timely, diligent, objective and non-arbitrary manner. A report does not guarantee removal.
4. Review process
- Receipt and technical validation
- Urgency and safety triage
- Review of content, context and applicable rule or law
- Temporary restriction where delay creates a material risk
- Decision and action proportionate to the issue
- Reason to the affected user where lawful and appropriate
- Retention of a minimal review record
5. Possible outcomes
Oruvai may find no violation, request more information, reduce visibility, remove content, disable an invitation, restrict a feature, warn, suspend or terminate an account. Evidence may be preserved where required for claims, authorities or an appeal.
6. Requesting review
An affected user can request review through the decision notice or the support route stated in it. The request should identify the decision and explain what was misunderstood or what new evidence is available.
A reviewer who was not solely responsible for the initial outcome will assess the request where reasonably possible. Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore content when an ongoing safety or legal risk exists.
7. Misuse of reports and appeals
Repeatedly submitting manifestly unfounded reports, fabricated evidence or abusive appeals may lead to temporary limits after warning where appropriate. Oruvai considers the number, proportion, intent and consequences rather than penalising an occasional mistake.
8. Other remedies
Internal review does not remove statutory rights, court access, data protection complaints or any applicable certified out-of-court dispute settlement option under the Digital Services Act.
9. Contact point
The contact point for users, authorities and notices is [email protected] and https://oruvai.com/support. Accepted languages are English and German.
Choose “Report illegal content or legal issue” in the public support form. Oruvai manually links the review, decision and any requested reconsideration through the case ID and confirmed email address. Follow-up for an in-app profile report can use the same case route.
